Shadowloo Night Live X OzHadou Regionals

Shadowloo Night Live is going down this weekend, but this will also be a special event since we will also be running the Melbourne qualifiers for OzHadou Nationals X (OHNX). OHNX takes place in Sydney on February 17th-19 and will featuring tournaments for Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ’12, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Each one of these tournaments will have prizes, cash and seeding points that go towards EVO 2012 in Las Vegas in the US.

While we won’t be running a TTT2 tournament at SNL this weekend, we will be holding a tournament for Super SFIV: AE’12 and Ultimate MvC3. The winners of each tournament will win a ticket to Sydney to compete at OHNX and represent Melbourne. 2nd place of each tournament will receive a minimum of $50 which can go towards helping them also make it to OHNX.

We will be doing our best to help as many players from Melbourne make it over to OHNX to represent us and clean up! So please come down and compete, even if you don’t win, you will be helping your Melbourne fighters get to OHNX and doing some major damage! Spectating is also free, so come down and check out the action in person.

If you can’t make it down to the event or you’re in another state or country, make sure you tune into the LIVE stream and support your favorite players and SNL that way. Don’t worry about the 4G connection either, since the venue is basically a bunker, we will be using the venue’s wired internet instead so should hold up.

We will continue to use the Battle Card System thanks to PyroZeroX. Highest ranking players at the end of the season will be rewarded with some prizes.

Fee	Venue Entry Fee: $15.00 (Will return to normal price in round 3) Tournament Fee: $5 per tournament (Will return to normal price in round 3)
Prizes	1st Place for each tournament: Flight to Sydney to compete at OHNX 2nd: $50 Cash +Extra depending on numbers. In the case 1st place can’t travel to OHNX, they will receive a smaller cash prize and 2nd place will receive the ticket to OHNX Seeding points will also be given out top 6 for each event which goes towards the OHNX tournaments.
Tournament Format/Rules	Standard best of 3 rounds, best of 3 games for AE’12 (Winner can’t change character but can change ultra) UMvC3: Best of 3 games, winner can not change characters or order.
Titles Being Played	Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition ’12 Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Side events which will be featured on Stream: UMvC3 and KoFXIII exhibition matches.

Recommended Parking	Multilevel parking right near the venue is $10 for up to 24 hours. If you are feeling lucky, you might find some free parking in the back streets around Crown Casino. Another option is to go to the bar and have a few drinks with the boys and have your ticket validated so it’s like you are parking for free.
BYO	I believe there is enough set ups this week, but please bring along your sticks if you have sticks, or controllers if you use pad. We want to slowly move to a “Bring your own” stick type event to get people ready for major events which will also be introducing this rule.
Shadowloo Showdown Donations	We are taking donations for Shadowloo Showdown from those who are willing and can help out. Donations will go towards helping get the high profile international players here which in turn will put Australia on the map. High profile players will also help us acquire sponsors for SS2012. No donation is too small, thanks!.
